Kula Waena | Grades 7-8

pattern

At Kula Waena, we are privileged to help our haumāna in grades 7 and 8 grow through some of the most impressionable and crucial years of a child’s development. Kula Waena’s Ha‘aha‘a’s focus on building a sense of self-awareness segues perfectly into our goal of facilitating growth in more haumāna choice, flexibility, and kuleana, especially as they prepare to enter high school as young adults. We encourage our haumāna to explore who they are, where they come from, and who they want to be as E Ola! Graduates.

Student leadership

Each Kamehameha student is represented in student government in two ways: first, as a member of the Associated Students of Kamehameha Middle School (ASKMS) and secondly, as a member of a Pūʻulu (team). For details about student leadership, see our ASKMS constitution.

Clubs

All middle school students and faculty members are part of a middle school club. Club meeting times are designated throughout the school year and occur during the school day, providing all students with opportunities to engage in a club experience.
