Welcome to the Kamehameha Schools Archives

The Kamehameha Schools Archives opened in 1992 at the Midkiff Learning Center, at the Kapālama campus. Its collection began with “The Midkiff Papers” and comprised of the manuscript collection of Mr. Frank E. Midkiff, president (1923-1934) and trustee (1939-1983) of Kamehameha Schools. Over time, various collections transferred from the Learning Center’s Hawaiian Collection to the Archives.

The collection today includes school publications, photographic and audio-visual materials, institutional records, manuscripts, and special collections related to historic events, programs, and members of the Kamehameha Schools’ ohana.
